AI data licensing

Monetize your company's operational data.

AI labs are paying established companies to license the SOPs, workflows and records they already have. Your years of work could become a new revenue stream, with no new product and no change to how you operate.

Free to apply. Through micro1's Data Partnerships program.

Why this exists

Your company already holds something AI can't find online.

The public internet shows AI what people say about work. It rarely shows how work actually gets done inside a real business: the procedures, the judgment calls, the way a team moves a job from start to finish.

Your company generates that every day. micro1, an AI data company that supplies frontier AI labs, licenses this operational knowledge from established companies and pays them for it. You keep ownership of your data; you license its use.

SecondYield Data Partners is an independent referral partner to micro1. We introduce companies to the program and help them understand whether it's a fit before they apply.

What's valuable

The data that counts is the data you already use to run the business.

Operational documentation

SOPs, knowledge bases, internal guides, CRM records, project histories and QA processes.

How decisions get made

How your teams weigh information and make operational calls: the experience behind the process.

Feedback on AI output

Your people reviewing AI work in a real business setting, so models learn what good looks like.

Every industry has something to offer

Who qualifies

Built for established, well-run companies.

If your business has been documenting how it works for years, you're likely the kind of company this program is looking for.

  • 30 or more employees. Operationally mature, with established processes.
  • Real documentation. SOPs, knowledge bases, CRM data, project histories or internal processes.
  • US-based companies are the top priority, with strong demand in the UK and Canada as well.
  • English-language operations. Documentation is primarily in English, and your contact can work with the team in English.
How it works

Four steps, and nothing is shared until you've agreed to the terms.

Evaluation

micro1 reviews your submission, including a short AI-led interview, to judge whether your company and data are a fit.

Discovery call

If there's a potential fit, you discuss your data, what's in and out of scope, and your privacy requirements.

Partnership

Once approved, the agreement and data requirements are finalized and onboarding begins.

Privacy & control

You decide what's shared, and you keep ownership.

Every partnership is set up around your company's requirements before any data changes hands.

  • Agreed scope first. What's included, what's off-limits, and the confidentiality standards are set together up front.
  • Personal information removed where relevant, with anonymization and redaction requirements defined in advance.
  • Isolated handling. Your data is processed separately from other engagements, with access limited to a small number of authorized people.
  • Review before use. You can review representative samples of the prepared data before it's used.
  • Limited retention. Data is kept only for the agreed period and deleted according to your agreement.
  • You still own it. Your company keeps ownership of its underlying data.

FAQ

Common questions

Who is SecondYield, and who actually pays us?

SecondYield Data Partners is an independent referral partner to micro1. Your agreement and your payment are directly with micro1, an AI data company that supplies frontier AI labs. We introduce companies to the program and help them understand it.

Does it cost anything to apply?

No. Applying is free and doesn't commit you to anything. Nothing is shared until you've agreed to the scope and terms.

What kinds of data are they looking for?

Material that shows how work is really done in your company: SOPs, process documentation, internal knowledge bases, workflows, templates and other business process records. The most valuable data captures real expertise, decision-making and repeatable workflows.

How is our data protected?

Personal information is removed where relevant, access is limited to a small number of authorized team members, and your data runs through isolated pipelines that keep it separate from other engagements. Some datasets also go through rewrites that keep the workflow structure while loosening ties to the original records. You can review representative samples, and data is deleted according to the agreed terms.

Do we keep ownership of our data?

Yes. Your company keeps ownership of its underlying data; the partnership licenses its use.

How is the payment amount decided?

Each partnership is valued on its own merits: the size and volume of the data, workflow complexity, quality, the domain expertise it represents, and how unique the operational knowledge is.

What happens after we apply?

micro1 reviews your company and guides you through a short AI-led interview to assess fit. Qualified companies move on to partnership discussions, the agreement and onboarding.

Can companies outside the US take part?

Yes, though demand is currently strongest for companies in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. Others may be considered depending on active opportunities.

Does our data need to be in English?

Currently, yes. The program is focused on companies that operate and keep their documentation in English, and your representatives need to work with the team in English.

Is approval guaranteed?

No. Every company goes through micro1's evaluation, and selection depends on the fit between your data and active opportunities.
